The 2008 Skate America was the Skate America Grand Prix competition of the 2008–09 figure skating season. It was the first event of six in the 2008–09 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition. It was organized by the United States Figure Skating Association. Medals were awarded in four disciplines: men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The top placing skaters at this event earned points towards qualifying them for the 2008–09 Grand Prix Final.

The 2008 competition was held at the Comcast Arena at Everett in Everett, Washington from October 23 through 26th. The compulsory dance was the Viennese Waltz.
