Cara Black and Liezel Huber were the defending champions but did not compete together to defend their title. Huber partnered Martina Navratilova and lost in the quarterfinals to Yan Zi and Zheng Jie. Black reached the semifinals alongside Rennae Stubbs before also losing to Yan and Zheng.

The Chinese pair went on to defeat Virginia Ruano Pascual and Paola Suárez in the final by the score of 6–3, 3–6, 6–2.
