The Japan or All Japan Figure Skating Championships is held annually to determine the Japanese figure skating title. The disciplines of competition are men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Some years some disciplines are not held because there are no skaters in those disciplines. This event was used to determine the teams for the 2007 World Championships and the 2007 Four Continents Championships. The level of competition is Senior-level only. Juniors compete at the Japan Junior Figure Skating Championships, where the top three advance to the 2007 World Junior Championships.

The 2006–07 season championships were held at the Rainbow Ice Arena in Nagoya between December 27 and 29, 2006.
