Andre Agassi defeated Rainer Schüttler 6–2, 6–2, 6–1 in the final to win the Men's Singles title at the 2003 Australian Open. This was Agassi's eighth and last Grand Slam title, his first having come at the 1992 Wimbledon Championships.

It was notable for the first grand slam appearance from Spaniard David Ferrer, who lost to Lee Hyung-taik in the first round and was also the final Grand Slam appearance of former no. 4 player Richard Krajicek.
