The Japan or All Japan Figure Skating Championships (全日本フィギュアスケート選手権, Zennippon figure skate senshuken) is held annually to determine the Japanese figure skating title. The disciplines of competition are men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Some years some disciplines are not held because there are no skaters in those disciplines. This event was used to determine the teams for the 2003 World Championships and the 2003 Four Continents Championships. The level of competition is Senior-level only. Juniors compete at the Japan Junior Figure Skating Championships, where the top three advance to the 2003 World Junior Championships.

The 2002–03 season championships were held at the Kyoto Aquarena in Kyoto between December 19 and 22, 2002. The 2002–03 competition was the 71st year of the championships.
