The 19th Division (Arabic: الفرقة 19‎‎) is a Syrian rebel group fighting in the Syrian Civil War. The group was created in June 2013, in the western countryside of Aleppo as a part of a foreign funded project to unify pro-FSA local factions into bigger factions.

History

The formation was announced on 20 June 2013. On 25 September 2013, the 19th Division signed a statement, along with 12 other Syrian rebel groups, in which it rejected any foreign-based opposition group, including the Syrian National Council.

On 2 January 2014, the coalition joined the Army of Mujahedeen to fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

Numerous factions of the group, including Liwaa Amjad al-Islam and the al-Quds Brigades left to join the Thuwar al-Sham Battalions in April 2015. In Janaruh20 2017 Thuwar al-Sham Battalions joined Jabhat Ahl al-Sham which contains the Army of Mujahideen.
