The 1996 Hungarian Grand Prix (formally the XII Marlboro Magyar Nagydij) was a Formula One motor race held on 11 August 1996 at the Hungaroring, Mogyoród, Budapest, Hungary. It was the twelfth round of the 1996 Formula One season and the eleventh Hungarian Grand Prix. The 77-lap race was won by Williams driver Jacques Villeneuve after starting from second position. His team-mate Damon Hill finished second and Jean Alesi was third in a Benetton.
