Jana Novotná and Helena Suková were the defending champions. Novotná and Suková entered the tournament with different partners, meeting in the semifinals were Novotná and Gigi Fernández eliminated Suková and Arantxa Sánchez Vicario. Novotná then repeated as doubles champion with Fernández after defeating Larisa Neiland and Natasha Zvereva in the final.
