The 1987–88 ACB season was the 5th season of the Liga ACB, after changing its name. The sixteen teams were divided in two groups. After playing a double round-robin, the teams are divided again in two groups of eight teams each.
FC Barcelona won their second ACB title, and their 5th overall.
Relegation Games
TDK Manresa and Ifa Español were relegated, but were promoted again as next season was going to increase the number of teams.
