Fall 1976
NOTE: In Fall 1976, NBC had discontinued its last regular daytime news bulletin, airing midday at 12:55 PM.
Winter 1976–1977
NOTE: Lovers and Friends was pulled from NBC's schedule on May 6, 1977. The show underwent "retooling" and returned to the air as For Richer, For Poorer on December 5, 1977.
Spring 1977
NOTE: All My Children expanded from 30 minutes to 1 hour on April 25–29, 1977 becoming the first soap opera on ABC to do so. Also, as a result of the adjusted ABC schedule, stations in the Pacific Time Zone would return to following the same Central Time Zone schedule. However, ABC took back the 11:00am time slot from local stations.
