The 1970 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 40th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928.

Cork entered the championship as the defending champions.

On 6 September 1970 Cork won the championship following a 5-19 to 2-9 defeat of Galway in the All-Ireland final. This was their second All-Ireland title in-a-row and their tenth title overall.

Semi-finals: (2 matches) The semi-final pairings saw the Munster champions play the Ulster champions and the Leinster champions play Galway, who received a bye to this stage. Two teams were eliminated at this stage while the two winners advanced to the final.

Final: (1 match) The winners of the two semi-finals contested this game.
