The 1921 Detroit Junior College football team represented Detroit Junior College (later renamed Wayne State University) as an independent during the 1921 college football season. In their fourth year under head coach David L. Holmes, the Detroit team compiled a 6–0–2 record, did not allow any of its opponents to score, and outscored all opponents by a combined total of 165 to 0. The team defeated Assumption College (26–0), Baldwin-Wallace (28–0), Michigan State Normal (3–0), Olivet College (26–0), Grand Rapids Junior College (39–0), and Toledo (13–0), and played Alma College (0–0) and Central Michigan (0–0) to scoreless ties. The Central Michigan game was played on Thanksgiving Day at Grindley Field in Detroit. Hazen Dever was the team captain.
