Bill Tilden (USA) defeated reigning champion Gerald Patterson (AUS) 2–6, 6–3, 6–2, 6–4 in the Challenge Round final to win the Gentlemen's Singles tennis title at the 1920 Wimbledon Championships. Tilden was the first American male Wimbledon champion.
