The Washington Nationals played their first and only season of professional baseball in 1875 as a member of the National Association of Professional Base Ball Players. They finished ninth in the league with a record of 5-23. It is uncertain if this team is related to the 1872 team of the same name or other Washington-based teams of the era. The National Association folded after the completion of the 1875 season.
