1707 Chantal, provisional designation 1932 RL, is a stony main-belt asteroid discovered by Eugène Delporte at Royal Observatory of Belgium on 8 September 1932. The S-type asteroid appears to have a long rotation period of at least 10 hours.

It was named in honor of a niece of Georges Roland (1922–1991), Belgian astronomer at of Uccle and co-discoverer of the comet Arend-Roland.
