1246 Chaka (1932 OA) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on July 23, 1932, by Cyril Jackson at Johannesburg Union Observatory, South Africa. The eccentric asteroid measures about 18 kilometers in diameter and has a high albedo of 0.24.

It was later named after Shaka, also Chaka or Tchaka, founder and one of the most influential monarchs of the Zulu Kingdom.
