1244 Deira (1932 KE) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on May 25, 1932, by Cyril V. Jackson at Johannesburg (UO). It was later named after the ancient birthplace of the discoverer, Ossett in West Yorkshire, England. It has a long 210.6 hour rotation period.
