11573 Helmholtz (1993 SK3) is an outer main-belt asteroid discovered on September 20, 1993, by Freimut Börngen and Lutz D. Schmadel at Tautenburg. It is one of very few asteroids located in the 2 : 1 mean motion resonance with Jupiter.
