.gdn (Global Domain Name) is a generic top-level domain (TLD) name. It is a generic TLD as it has no intended audience and can be used by anyone. The Registry Agreement was made official on July 31, 2014. Authorization(s) for release of reserved names was given on December 1, 2014.
The GDN Registry is the registry for the domain and is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It has already become known as a major source of spam emails, ranking third on the Spamhaus list of most-abused TLDs.
