Åke Henrik Gartz (born 9 June 1888 in Helsinki, died 29 November 1974) was a Finnish CEO and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in two cabinets between 1950 and 1951.

Career

Gartz was also the Minister of Trade and Industry from 1944 to 1946. Gartz did not represent any political party, although he was close to the Swedish People's Party.

Gartz was active in the employers' organizations (predecessor of Confederation of Finnish Industries), and he was also once the CEO of A. Ahlstrom Oy and chairman of the board of STK.

Following his ministerial career Gartz was assigned as the ambassador to Switzerland as well as to Romania and Soviet Union on two occasions in the 1950s.
