Kemal karpat


Kemal Haşim Karpat (born 1925) is a Turkish historian and former professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is of Turkish origin and was born in Babadag, Romania. He received his LLB from the University of Istanbul, his MA from the University of Washington and his PhD from New York University. He has previous worked for the UN Economics and Social Council and taught at the University of Montana (though it was called Montana State University at the time) and New York University. He is currently working at Istanbul Şehir University.
