Literary Lives: Hardy’s Schoolrooms by Dr Jonathan Godshaw Memel
The final decades of the nineteenth century saw an extraordinary growth in school building that in 1874 was said to ‘mark the great change which is coming over the education of the country’. This talk will reveal Thomas Hardy’s significant involvement in this bold movement in school design.

Young dino-enthusiast wins once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to place the last piece of Dippy
Harry Swift from Eastleigh in Hampshire was drawn at random from hundreds of budding scientists to help assist the reconstruction of Dippy the Diplodocus at Dorset County Museum.
Getting Ready for Dippy
It’s only two months until the Natural History Museum’s Dippy the Diplodocus arrives in Dorset in February 2018. Two of the Museum’s galleries are set to undergo some dramatic changes over the next few weeks to accommodate him.
