Golden Rod Grange No. 114

Location

W side NH 32, 0.1 mi. S of jct. with Eaton Rd., Swanzey, New Hampshire

The Golden Rod Grange No. 114 is a historic grange hall on New Hampshire Route 32 in Swanzey, New Hampshire, United States. The two-story wood frame building was built in 1916, and is one of the cluster of late 19th and early 20th century buildings that make up Swanzey's center. Its first floor has a dining/meeting room in the center, flanked by a kitchen and a large stairwell. The upper level, except for the stairwell antechamber, is a single large hall. The building's roof is supported by a series of Warren trusses, giving the ceiling an uninterrupted span. There is a raised stage at the southern end of the hall, occupying the space above the kitchen. Most of the interior woodwork is pine, with plastered ceilings. The building is now maintained by the Swanzey Preservation Society.

The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
