Despite her outstanding background, it was baptism by fire for her into electoral politics. She lost her first few elections by very narrow margins against stalwarts. These early losses only strengthened her resolve as she rededicated herself for the people’ cause and established a direct connect with people and party cadre. As a leader, while in the opposition, she participated in many an agitation like the Historic Electricity agitation, led a padayathra from Gadwal to the State capital to highlight the irrigation water problems of the farmers in Mahaboobnagar District and went on an indefinite hunger strike for irrigation water to the dry lands of Telangana.

She is looking for an appropriate opportunity to contribute her might to serve the people who are in need.

In her own words “I am a sophisticated women who makes everyone's lives around me very bright and making the world a better place to live. For me, true beauty lies in helping people of all walks of life”
