History
Car Property Group was formed in 2003 by Bob "BC" Cross, a software company owner and high-tech consultant turned real estate agent from Mountain View, California. He created CarProperty.com because he felt “the real estate system for tracking properties ignore[d] garages”. CarProperty.com launched in the Beta phase in 2007 and left Beta on June 19, 2008
Website features
CarProperty.com's search function allows visitors to look for properties by the number of garage spaces. The site also contains search categories for houses for car collectors, homes with RV parking, indoor parking in urban areas, racetracks, car condos, airplane hangars, and marinas. Visitors can also buy and sell garage-related products, including art, car lifts, equipment, tools, doors, and openers. There is also a section for non-profits that are raffling off collector cars, motorcycles, and other related items. CarProperty.com also has a showcase registry where people can show off their properties without putting them up for sale.
